FOR CHECKING PROOFS
1. Check that piece backs-up correctly and that pages are
in correct order.
2. Check elements for proper placement and
alignment.
3. Check for copy re-flow problems or
default font substitution.
4. Match proof to your approved final copy.
5. Make sure spot colors are called out and
marked correctly.
6. Make sure size is correct.
7. Bear in mind that unless you have a proof
produced on the actual paper you specified,
there are bound to be some differences
between the proof and completed job. Even then, proofs may
not be 100% accurate in terms of color.

PRESS
CHECK LIST
1. Check press sheets against proof.
2. Make sure stock is correct.
3. Make sure color breaks are correct.
4. Check for flaws like scratches or hickies.
5. Check registration, color balance and ink density.
6. Please make every effort to be prompt for your press checks,
as down time costs the printer money while they are waiting
for you.
Delays on your part may result in holding charges
in addition to the original quoted
price, per printing trade
customs.
7. Registered Ink attempts to hold all press checks during
normal working hours and to provide at least 30 minutes (generally
more) warning. |
