Ink is a young company that believes in investing in the
future success of our personnel, clients and community. We
like to have fun and consider doing quality work to be as important,
if not more so, than profitable work. We strive to create
long-term customer relationships.
Registered Ink is a local, family-owned business founded
in 1999.. We are a medium sized commercial printer with large
printer's abilities. We have the fastest turn-around and
best
customer service in Reno, regardless of job size, cost, or
complexity.
Company History
Bill Gillis began as delivery driver for Herth Printing in
1989 and began gradually working his way from the back to
the front of the shop. Through endless toil he became production
manager in 1994, followed by general manager in 1997. He
made his best decision in life marrying Melissa Philpott
of Flowerpott Design Studio in 1998, and together they purchased
Herth Printing in the fall of 1999. Subsequently, on January
1, 2000, they changed the name to Registered Ink Printing
Company. Since then, the
company has more than doubled in size, sales volume and capacity.
Our capabilities have grown with the acquisition of a full
house of state of the art prepress, press and post press
technology
from the finest manufacturer in the world - Heidelberg. We
provide a superior product for a fair price without the normal
delays associated with sheet fed printing. |
Staff/Qualifications
The Registered Ink staff is a diverse group with many different
qualifications and backgrounds. Much of our staff is original
going back to the days of Herth Printing. The
balance of the staff has been hired for their outstanding
attitudes, willingness to work towards unique solutions,
and
the ability to handle the stressful nature of this environment
without losing the smile on their faces. The Registered
Ink
staff is dedicated to more than simply providing the product
you require, but in doing so with a friendly, trouble free
experience. We practice and believe in the age old K.I.S.S.
principle (Keep It Simple, Silly).
Future Goals for Company
Printing is changing. Rapidly. Registered Ink will always
endeavor to stay ahead of the curve as technology advances
to provide better solutions for your printing needs. There
are many plans for equipment and facility expansion on the
table at this time. Due to the competitive nature of our industry,
those plans will only be revealed in a timely and diligent
manner. In other words, stay tuned. The ride has just begun!
